Thanks to sound financial operations for many years and a donation matching program, Advocis Ottawa has been able to create a lasting impact on the community through the Kristan K Birchard Bursary in the Algonquin College School of Business.  Congratulations to the Chapter for such an impactful and enduring initiative!

Advocis Ottawa Chapter has endowed the Kristan K Birchard Bursary, ensuring that at least one student in need in the School of Business’ Financial Services program is given financial support every year.  The Bursary was set-up to honour Mr. Kris Birchard and his work with Advocis.  Advocis Ottawa Chapter donated $12,500 to set-up the bursary and government funding was used to match it providing a total of $25,000 in capital funds.
